About Our Business

CCMC Mediation Director.......... . .

As the Community Mediation Center Director, Lindsey Bradley oversees the day-to-day
operations of our Center and acts as principle point of contact with the court system, service
agencies, community groups and other referral sources. She coordinates our volunteer staff,
which in turn facilitates stronger relationships within our community. Lindsey also looks for new
opportunities to advance mediation services in support of diverse legal, business, and
community populations across Southern Maryland.

MISSION STATEMENT

The mission of CMC is to provide excellent mediation services to courts, schools, businesses,
community groups, and individuals using volunteers who have been specially selected and
trained as mediators.  We also offer facilitation services, conflict management training, and

HISTORY OF COMMUNITY MEDIATION IN SOUTHERN MARYLAND

The Community Mediation Center of Charles County began providing mediation services to the
residents of Southern Maryland in 2005..  Today, there are three affiliated centers to serve the
tri-county area: St Mary's, Calvert and Charles Counties.

Services are provided by a professional staff together with trained citizen volunteers.  Volunteer
mediators complete 40 hours of formal training, followed by supervised internship, continuing
skills building and ongoing quality review.

The CCMC is a non-profit organization.  The center operations are supported by a grant from
the Maryland Mediation and Conflict Resolution Office (MACRO).
